On August 4, 2022, the batch of quay cranes built by China Shipbuilding Wuhan Ship Machinery Haixi Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. for the multi-purpose terminal of Alexandria Port, Egypt, were successfully shipped.

Alexandria Port is Egypt's largest port and an important trade exchange hub. The operator of the port's multi-purpose terminal is CMA-CGM, an internationally renowned global container shipping company. This project is a successful cooperation between Wuhan Shipbuilding Machinery and Haixi Heavy Machinery and CMA CGM Shipping Group, which provides great strategic significance for further expanding the international market and consolidating the African market.

This batch of quay cranes are designed and manufactured in accordance with European standards, with a rated lifting capacity of 65 tons, a lifting height of 54 meters above the rail, a lifting height of 20 meters under the rail, and an outreach of 63 meters, which can meet the loading and unloading operations of today's largest container ships. The container loading and unloading capacity has reached the world's advanced level.
