On August 4, 2022, Three Gorges New Energy Power Generation Funan Co., Ltd. released the EPC bidding announcement for the energy storage system of the south wind and solar storage base project in Fuyang, Anhui. It is understood that the construction scale of the Funan energy storage project is 300MW/600MWh in the current phase and 450MW/900MWh in the final phase. The energy storage system adopts the liquid cooling scheme of lithium iron phosphate battery. The tenderer for this project is Three Gorges New Energy Power Generation Funan Co., Ltd. This project already has the bidding conditions, and the bidding method is now open bidding.

Project Overview

The Funan Energy Storage Project is located in Funan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, about 27km away from Fuyang City and 13km away from Funan County. The system adopts the liquid cooling scheme of lithium iron phosphate battery, supporting a new 220kV booster station. This project is equipped with two 160MVA double-winding transformers in the plant area. In this phase, reactive power compensation is not considered, only the reservation of reactive power configuration in the later period is considered. After a 220kV line is connected to the 220kV busbar of the 220kV Tangpi Substation, the line path length is about 14.5 kilometers.

Bidding scope

This bidding project is the EPC general contract for the energy storage system of the Three Gorges Energy Anhui Fuyang South Wind and Light Storage Base Project, with a total of one bidding section. The scope of the bidding includes all survey and design except the delivery project; equipment procurement and supervision; civil and installation engineering construction; commissioning; trial operation; Spare parts, special tools procurement and supply and related technical data collation and provision of services. Planned construction period: It is planned to complete the grid connection of 150MW/300MWh before December 15, 2022, and complete the full-capacity grid connection on June 15, 2023. The specific start date is subject to the notice of the tenderer or supervisor.
