State Grid Corporation of China said it will invest more than 150 billion yuan in the second half of 2022 to implement a new batch of ultra-high voltage (UHV) power transmission projects in China. These projects are expected to further leverage the grid's role in expanding investment.

In the first half of 2022, the power company has a total of 11 UHV projects under construction. These projects are worth 90 billion yuan. The total length of transmission lines for the 11 projects is 6,828 kilometers.

One such project is the 800kV Baihetan-Jiangsu UHV DC transmission project, which started operations last month. The Baihetan-Jiangsu project aims to bring clean hydropower generated in southwestern China's Sichuan province to Jiangsu province. Keywords: engineering news, overseas news
