At 8:16 on August 8, 2022, the longest tunnel in the Jiangxi section of the Changjinghuang high-speed railway, the Yaoli Tunnel, the control project of the entire Changjinghuang high-speed railway, was successfully completed. The Changjinghuang high-speed railway is expected to open and operate at the end of 2023.
The Yaoli Tunnel with a total length of 9736.49 meters spans the two provinces of Anhui and Jiangxi, of which the length in Jiangxi is 8803 meters and the length in Anhui is 933.49 meters. The maximum burial depth of the tunnel is 481 meters, and the shallowest part is only 6 meters. There are 4 faults, 6 joint-intensive zones, and 4 lithological contact zones. The geological conditions are complex and the construction conditions are difficult, so it is a Class I risk tunnel. In order to speed up the progress of the project, the builders constructed 7 working faces at the same time in Baocun Hengdong, Wangjiapeng Inclined Shaft, Yejiawu Inclined Shaft and the exit.
After the railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will end the history of the four counties and one city of Leping, Yugan, Poyang and Jingdezhen being blocked by high-speed rail at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, forming another high-speed rail artery connecting Jiangxi to the Yangtze River Delta.Editor/Ma Xue
