On August 3, 2022, Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. announced that it has won the bid for the construction of two expressways from Chating to Ringcheng and Liuyang to Jiangbei, with a total investment of about 9.8 billion yuan. It is reported that these two expressways are striving to start construction in 2022.
Chating to Ring Expressway
According to reports, the project route from Chating to Ring Expressway starts from the interchange of Chating on Xuguang Expressway, passes through Huangqiao Avenue and Qingzhu Lake, and ends at Laodao River on Changsha Ring Expressway. The total length of the route is 22.77 kilometers, the design speed is 120 kilometers per hour, and the width of the roadbed is 34 meters. It is constructed according to the standard of two-way six-lane expressway. The whole line is set up with four interchanges: Tea Pavilion, Bridge Station, Qingzhu Lake and Laodao River. The investment of this project is estimated to be 5.3 billion yuan, and it will be implemented in the BOT mode with a construction period of 3 years.
Liuyang to Jiangbei Expressway
The Liuyang-Jiangbei Expressway project starts from Chayuanwan, Changqing Village, Jili Street, Liuyang City, connects to Liuhong Expressway, passes through Taiping Bridge, Tangjiayuan, Gejia, crosses Wushen Expressway and connects Jiangbei to Ganshan Expressway. The main line has a total length of 25.64 kilometers, a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, and a roadbed width of 26 meters. It adopts the standard of two-way four-lane expressway. There are 4 interchanges and 1 service area on the whole line. The estimated total investment of this project is about 4.5 billion yuan, the BOT model is adopted, and the construction period is 3 years.
The two expressways from Chating to Ring City and Liuyang to Jiangbei in Hunan Province are both located within the jurisdiction of Changsha City. After the completion of these two expressways in the future, they will play a positive role in optimizing the layout of expressway networks in the province and building a national comprehensive transportation hub.
