On August 11, 2022, with the slow start of the cutter head, the first domestically produced TBM "Yongning" with a large inclination angle (39 degrees upward) jointly developed by State Grid Xinyuan, the Sixth Hydropower Bureau and CREG was successfully accepted in Zhengzhou. The equipment will be applied to the pumped storage power station with the largest installed capacity in Henan Province - State Grid Xinyuan Henan Luoning Pumped Storage Power Station Diversion Inclined Well Project.

Luoning Pumped-Storage Power Station is located in Luoning County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. The total installed capacity of the power station is 1.4 million kilowatts. The project is the first to optimize the water diversion inclined well, the middle flat hole and the down inclined well into a first-level inclined well scheme, creating a kind of pumping in China. A new mode of well construction for energy storage power stations.

The "Yongning" inclined shaft TBM excavation has a diameter of 7.23 meters. The No. 1 water diversion inclined well and No. 2 water diversion inclined well are 927 meters and 873 meters. The inclination angles are 36.236 degrees and 38.742 degrees respectively. From 184 to 684 meters, it is mainly composed of II and III surrounding rocks such as moderately weathered fresh porphyritic granite, and passes through two fault fracture zones.Editor/Ma Xue
