On August 16, 2022, Hubei's largest photovoltaic cell project, the Mubang Hi-Tech photovoltaic cell production base, officially started construction in Echeng District, Ezhou City.

The Mubang Hi-Tech 10GW TOPCON photovoltaic cell production base and new energy headquarters project is the first photovoltaic cell project in Ezhou and the largest photovoltaic cell project in Hubei so far. The project is invested and constructed by Jiangxi Mubang Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. and undertaken by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau. The total investment is about 6 billion yuan, the planned land is about 500 mu, and 280,000 square meters of workshops and buildings will be constructed. The total annual production capacity is 10GW.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to increase the annual output value of Ezhou City by more than 12 billion yuan, create an annual tax revenue of 600 million yuan, and bring about 2,000 jobs.

At the same time, the contracted photovoltaic module production base project is invested and constructed by Shantou Bangling Trading Co., Ltd. with an investment of about 2 billion yuan and a planned land area of about 300 mu. After reaching production, the annual output value is expected to exceed 3 billion yuan, and the annual tax revenue is expected to be 150 million yuan. Yuan, providing more than 1,000 jobs.

Construction started together on the same day as the Changjiang Zhihui Park project in Binjiang Science and Technology New Area, with a total investment of 2.259 billion yuan, including a new industrial park and 6 municipal roads. Among them, the total construction area of the new industrial park is about 280,000 square meters; the new 6 municipal roads totaling 11 kilometers, the construction content includes the new North Outer Ring East Section, the new Xuguang North Road, the new Hongtai Avenue, the new Xuegou North Road, and the new Xingye One road extension, new Nannan North Road and supporting projects.

The locations of these three projects are all located in Binjiang Science and Technology New District, Echeng District, Ezhou City. This new district is also known as Xiaoguanggu. It is an important node for the westward expansion of Echeng to fully integrate into Wuhan and undertake the joint construction of the Optical Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. A solid foundation and favorable environment for the development of the photovoltaic cell industry.

With the construction and operation of Huahu Airport and the accelerated advancement of the Ezhou functional area of the Optics Valley Science and Technology Corridor, Ezhou has a better location and transportation, and the long-term strategic dividends, institutional policy dividends, and sustainable market dividends are being released at an accelerated rate.
