On August 18, 2022, the start-up activity of China Energy Construction Chongzuo 2×660MW Power Plant Project was officially held in Fusui.

According to reports, Zhongneng Jian Chongzuo 2 × 660MW power plant project plans to build two 660,000-kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units, and simultaneously build flue gas desulfurization, denitrification and other devices and related supporting facilities, with a total investment of 5.259 billion yuan. The first unit will be put into operation in June 2024, and the second unit will be put into operation in August 2024.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to have an average annual output value of 2.5 billion yuan, which will further optimize the energy structure of Chongzuo City, promote the clean and efficient utilization of traditional energy and the in-depth development and utilization of new energy, and promote the high-quality economic and social development of Chongzuo.
