Recently, the "Origin of Italy - Ancient Roman Civilization Exhibition" being held at the China National Expo has set up a new bridge for the cultural exchanges between China and Italy. Stefano Verge, director of the National Museum of Rome in Italy, said: "There is a gap between civilizations. The exchange between China and Italy is absolutely necessary and has a long history, which is the spirit of this exhibition. We believe that it is a very meaningful thing to take the opportunity of the Sino-Italian Culture and Tourism Year to show the Chinese people the history of Italy.”
It is understood that many archaeological discoveries and masterpieces of art sent to the exhibition have never been exhibited outside Italy before, and some have never even left their museums.
In recent years, China and Italy have been carrying out extensive exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture. The National Museum of China alone has held seven exhibitions in cooperation with the Italian cultural and expo industry.
Verger said, "The Origin of Italy - The Exhibition of Ancient Roman Civilization" is a symbol of the further strengthening of cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy. It is hoped that in the future, more Italians will learn Chinese history, understand Chinese culture, build more bridges of communication, and jointly promote Sino-Italian friendship.Editor/Ma Xue
