Since 2020, Yumen City has actively seized the major opportunities of the national Belt and Road construction and the policy opportunities brought about by the new era of promoting the development of the western region to form a new pattern, and has planned the Yumen road-rail combined transportation intelligent logistics park project. The project is planned to cover an area of 8,350 mu, with a total investment of 4.668 billion yuan. It is planned to build a 2 million-ton coal static reserve area, a 10 million-ton coal washing and matching primary processing area, a charcoal screening, drying and distribution area, and a living service area. Simultaneously plan the construction of the China-Europe freight train container assembly center, and support the construction of 12 kilometers of special railway lines, 10 kilometers of special highway lines, and infrastructure such as water, electricity, and sewage treatment. After the project is completed, it can form a coal storage, distribution, washing and sales capacity of 5-10 million tons in the near term and 30-50 million tons in the long-term, and realize the function of large-scale coal storage.

At present, 17 coal washing and processing trade enterprises have been recruited, and 45 million yuan has been invested to complete the park infrastructure such as highway special lines, construction electricity, water supply; logistics park railway special lines, park roads and other engineering projects are accelerating advance. After the project is completed, the annual sales income will be 15 billion yuan, and more than 3,000 people will be employed.
