In 2016, the St. Petersburg Chinese Medicine Center of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was officially established in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. Liu Qingguo, the head of the center and a professor at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told reporters that in recent years, Russian people's interest in traditional Chinese medicine has increased day by day, and traditional Chinese medicine has become a new choice for many local patients.

"Especially in the treatment and rehabilitation of chronic diseases including cervical spondylosis, lumbar spondylosis, neuropathic headache, etc., traditional Chinese medicine has unique curative effect." Since its establishment, the St. Petersburg Traditional Chinese Medicine Center of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has provided training courses for local doctors, conducted regular academic exchanges with local hospitals, and carried out free clinic activities in the local area. In Liu Qingguo's view, the TCM center helps Russian people understand TCM culture and becomes a window for foreigners to perceive traditional Chinese culture.

In 2021, the Xi'an International Encephalopathy Rehabilitation Center jointly established by Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Astana Medical University and Nazarbayev University School of Medicine will officially open in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan. So far, more than 3,700 people have visited the hospital.
