CNOOC Jiangsu Yancheng "Green Energy Port" is a key planning project for the construction and interconnection of the national natural gas production, supply, storage and sales system, and it is also the largest one-time LNG receiving terminal project in the world.
Green Energy Port Project
The first-phase project of CNOOC Yancheng "Green Energy Port" has built 4 storage tanks of 220,000 cubic meters and 6 storage tanks of 270,000 cubic meters, with a total tank capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters. The lifting of the storage tank dome this time is the construction process with the most technical difficulty and the highest safety factor in the construction of the storage tank.
After the "Green Energy Port" of CNOOC Yancheng is fully put into operation at the end of 2023, the annual processing capacity of LNG will reach 6 million tons, equivalent to 8.5 billion cubic meters of gaseous natural gas, which can be used for people's livelihood in Jiangsu Province for about 28 months.
Air lift technology
How can a large dome with a diameter of about 100 meters and a weight of nearly 1200 tons rise to the top of a storage tank as high as 60 meters?
The first reaction of most people must be "hoisting". In the past, small storage tanks were usually hoisted, but now the domes of large storage tanks can easily reach thousands of tons, which is too difficult to hoist, so a new type of lifting that is more efficient and safe is adopted. Operation technology - "gas lift roof".
In order to ensure that the dome will not tilt or overturn during the process, a balanced guide system composed of 24 sets of wire ropes and pulleys is evenly distributed around the tank. At the same time, pressure and displacement detection systems are also installed on the outer tank wall and dome. The intelligent monitoring platform monitors in real time to ensure that the dome reaches the design position safely and smoothly.
When the dome is raised to a predetermined position, while maintaining the pressure in the tank, the construction personnel will weld it with the top of the tank wall, and finally complete the lifting.Editor/Ma Xue
