On September 15, 2022, the fifth batch of major projects in Huangshi City, Hubei Province and the key projects jointly constructed by the central government and the central government were held in the core area of Daye Lake. This time, there were 105 key projects with a total investment of 35.79 billion yuan. There are 34 central districts built, with a total investment of 14.84 billion yuan.

Divided by their fields, there are 53 major industrial transformation and upgrading projects with a total investment of 15.722 billion yuan; 38 major infrastructure projects with a total investment of 11.88 billion yuan; 10 major ecological civilization projects with a total investment of 7.74 billion yuan; major social and livelihood projects 4, with a total investment of 460 million yuan.

Two key projects

According to reports, the projects under construction this time include two major categories of key projects, the agglomeration development and construction project in the eastern area of the core area of Daye Lake and the Ecological Environment Oriented (EOD) project in the Huangshi section of the Yangtze River.

The agglomeration development project in the east area of the core area of Daye Lake is the enclosed area of Daqi Road, Qinghong Road, Yuanbo Avenue and Wangtan Road, with a planned area of 11.41 square kilometers. The construction content of the project includes other infrastructure projects such as municipal road engineering, the continuation of the Olympic Sports Park, the improvement of road greening and landscape, and the construction of public service infrastructure such as the National Table Tennis Base and Dongchu Olympic Sports New City. The project construction investment is 7.548 billion yuan, and the operation mode of "government authorization + investment cooperation + EPC" is planned to be used for comprehensive development of the area.

The Ecological Environment Oriented Development Project (EOD) of the Huangshi section of the Yangtze River is jointly implemented by Huangshi City Development Group and social capital China Seventeenth Metallurgical Group, with a total investment of 7.29 billion yuan. The construction content of the project includes ecological restoration of the Huangshi Yangtze River coastline, comprehensive lake management in Huangshi City, protection of the drinking water source of the Yangtze River in Huangshi City, renovation of the Yangtze River sewage outlet, improvement of the quality and efficiency of sewage treatment in Huangshi City, etc.

The project plans to actively explore the comprehensive treatment of the Huangshi urban section of the Yangtze River, Huanci Lake and Dongfang Mountain through 3-year pilot practice, comprehensively improve the water ecological environment quality of the Huangshi urban section of the Yangtze River, enhance the regional environmental carrying capacity, and introduce resource recycling industries, Green industries such as new energy and health care tourism will feed back regional environmental governance with the benefits brought about by industrial development, and promote the green transformation and upgrading of the Huangshi industry.
