According to reports, the ecological environment-oriented development project (EOD) of the Huangshi section of the Yangtze River is jointly implemented by the City Urban Development Group and the social capital China Seventeenth Metallurgical Group. The protection of drinking water sources, the improvement of the Yangtze River sewage outlet, the improvement of the quality and efficiency of sewage treatment in Huangshi City, the restoration and utilization of the Elephant Trunk Mountain, the Huangshi City Industrial Park, the Huangshi City Photovoltaic Power Generation, and the Huangshi Ecological Health Industrial Park, etc.

The ecological environment-oriented development project (EOD) of the Huangshi section of the Yangtze River has a total investment of 7.29 billion yuan. It is planned to actively explore the comprehensive treatment of the Huangshi urban section of the Yangtze River, Huanci Lake and Dongfang Mountain through a three-year pilot practice, and comprehensively improve the water quality of the Huangshi urban section of the Yangtze River.
