On the afternoon of September 20, 2022, the important forum event of the 7th China-Asia-Europe Expo 2022 China Xinjiang-Kazakhstan Entrepreneur Forum was held in a combination of online and offline methods. The theme of the forum is to seek cooperation, promote development, and create a future together. Experts and scholars, business association members and representatives of entrepreneurs from China and Kazakhstan have exchanged dialogues on high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and signed a series of cooperation agreements. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, delivered a video speech, and Ma Xingrui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, attended and delivered a speech.
In his speech, Ren Hongbin, on behalf of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Commerce, expressed his sincere welcome to the guests and his sincere thanks to people from all walks of life who have long cared and supported China-Kazakhstan economic and trade development. He said that President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Kazakhstan a few days ago, and China and Kazakhstan have jointly drawn up a new blueprint for all-round cooperation. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan 30 years ago, the relations between the two countries have achieved leapfrog development. The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Kazakhstan has become a new model of win-win cooperation for the international community. The business communities of the two countries should continue to be the forerunners in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, prioritize production capacity, trade, agriculture, and infrastructure construction, and focus on cultivating new growth points in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data, digital finance, e-commerce, and green energy. Jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system and continuously inject new vitality into the development of bilateral relations. Xinjiang is an important gateway for China to open up to the west, with unique geographical advantages, huge resource potential and obvious policy advantages. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will continue to strengthen cooperation with industrial and commercial institutions in Xinjiang, China and Kazakhstan, build more exchanges and cooperation platforms, promote the deepening of China-Kazakhstan economic and trade cooperation, and continuously contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

China's Xinjiang is coordinating epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development, coordinating development and security, accelerating the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and has broad prospects for cooperation with Kazakhstan in the joint construction of the Belt and Road. It is hoped that the two sides will focus on textile and apparel, new building materials, machinery and equipment, artificial intelligence, big data, green energy, etc. to deepen economic and trade cooperation, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in agriculture, education, science and technology, cultural tourism, health and other fields, and promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. . Zhang Xiao, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan, said in his speech that under the leadership of the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese and Kazakh enterprises have deepened mutually beneficial cooperation, and a number of major projects have been implemented successively with fruitful results. The high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road will accelerate the transformation of Xinjiang into a core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt and a hub for Asia-Europe economic and trade exchanges. It is hoped that Chinese and Kazakh entrepreneurs will make full use of the China-Eurasia Expo and the important platform of this forum to deepen practical cooperation and push bilateral economic and trade relations to a new level.
Jinjakulov, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, said in his speech that the China-Asia-Europe Expo has promoted Eurasian international cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, science and technology, tourism and culture, and has made positive contributions to the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. Kazakhstan is willing to actively develop multi-level and multi-faceted ties with China's Xinjiang. The two sides should take practical measures to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of production and processing, green technology, smart agriculture, logistics and transportation, and continue to expand bilateral trade.

During the forum, relevant responsible comrades, experts and scholars of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China's Ministry of Commerce, relevant representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in China, and heads of relevant enterprises in Kazakhstan and Xinjiang, China, etc., gave keynote speeches on the theme of the forum.
Xinjiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakh Investment National Corporation; China Xinjiang signed a project investment cooperation agreement with relevant enterprises in Kazakhstan, involving green mining, energy resources, equipment manufacturing, digital information, agriculture, forestry and fruit and other characteristic and advantageous fields, with a total project value of 4.7 One hundred million U.S. dollars.
