Project Overview

The reconstruction and expansion project of the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway Changfu-Jinyushi Jiangxi-Xiang boundary section starts from about 3.1 kilometers north of the Zhangshu hub of the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway in Changfu Town, Zhangshu City, and connects to the Changzhang Section of the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway that has been widened to eight lanes, passing through Zhangshu City, Yichun City, Yushui District and Fenyi County, Xinyu City, a new double line is built on the east side of Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, connecting the Yichun South Hub to Yichun West Hub section of the Yichun-Suichuan Expressway, and the old road for reconstruction and expansion on the west side of Yuanzhou District, passing Pingxiang City Luxi County, Anyuan District, Shangli County, Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xiangdong District, and finally Jinyu Stone in the border of Jiangxi and Hunan Provinces. The total length of the project route is about 179.439 kilometers. In addition to using the 16.866 kilometers of Yichun-Sichuan expressway under construction, the mileage of this reconstruction and expansion is about 162.573 kilometers, including 145.83 kilometers along the existing old road reconstruction and expansion section, and a new six-lane double line in the urban area of Yichun. 16.734 kilometers and the original line will be reconstructed and utilized. A total of 105 newly built and widened bridges and 45 separate interchanges were built along the line. Construct 2 tunnels, 22 interchanges, 3 rebuilt service areas, 1 new service area, and 1 original site utilization service area. A total of about 3.692 kilometers of 6 new interconnection lines will be built.

The original site reconstruction and expansion section is in accordance with the standard of two-way eight-lane expressway, the width of the integral roadbed is 41 meters, the width of the one-side separated roadbed is 20.5 meters, and the width of the two-sided separated roadbed is 2×13 meters; The width of the roadbed is 33.5 meters. The design speed of the whole line is 100 km/h, the vehicle load level is highway-I, and the design flood frequency is 1/300 for extra-large bridges and 1/100 for other bridges, culverts and roadbeds. The Xinyu Interconnection Line and the Yichun East Hub Interconnection Line adopt the first-class highway standard, and the rest of the connecting lines conform to the second-class highway standard.
