Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has achieved a number of world-leading achievements in the construction of network-based infrastructure such as transportation, energy, and water conservancy. The deployment of new infrastructure has accelerated, and a modern infrastructure network has strongly supported high-quality economic and social development.
The latest statistics show that as of the end of August 2022, the eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed rail network main channels of China's "Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Planning" have been put into operation and the mileage under construction has accounted for 88.3% of the total planned mileage.
In the past ten years, 94.9% of China's cities with a population of more than 500,000 have access to high-speed rail, and Hong Kong has been connected to China's high-speed rail network. The Fuxing train has historically achieved full coverage of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. A total of 1.968 million 5G base stations have been opened, and the world's largest optical fiber and mobile broadband network has been built.
