On September 27, 2022, at the site of Yangqu Hydropower Station on the Yellow River, an important support project for clean energy in Qinghai Province undertaken by the China Hydropower Fourth Bureau, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the inlaid concrete face rockfill dam and the concrete pouring ceremony for the first warehouse of the inlaid concrete gravity dam of the Yangqu Hydropower Station were officially launched. , marking that the dam project has been fully transferred from the foundation excavation to the main concrete pouring construction stage.

The hydropower station is composed of inlaid concrete face rockfill dam, left auxiliary dam, left bank spillway, flood discharge hole and ecological drainage hole, right bank water conveyance building and ground powerhouse. The main dam is an inlaid concrete face rockfill dam with a maximum dam height of 150 meters.

The gravity dam constructed by the China Hydropower Fourth Bureau has a base surface elevation of 2,576 meters, a dam height of 55 meters, a total length of 103 meters, and a top width of 10 meters. The first warehouse of concrete is located in the No. 3 dam section. It is estimated that 703 cubic meters of concrete will be poured, and the pouring will be completed at 12:00 p.m. on September 27, 2022.

The Yellow River Yangqu Hydropower Station project officially started on December 26, 2021. According to the plan, the first unit at the station will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024, and the overall completion will be completed in 2025.Editor/Ma Xue
