On September 27, 2022, the Yiwei Lithium Energy Storage and Power Battery Project was officially signed and settled in Tiexi District, Shenyang City. The project fills the blank of Shenyang's new energy power battery industry, and will play an important supporting role in Shenyang's consolidation of the status of the automobile industry and its seizing the high ground of the new energy automobile industry in the future. Starting from this, Shenyang will gradually build itself into a new energy industry base in Liaoning Province and even the Northeast region with energy storage and power batteries as its core.

It is reported that the contracted Yiwei lithium energy storage and power battery project has a planned production capacity of 40GWh, and plans to invest 10 billion yuan to be built in two phases. Among them, the first phase of the project invested 5 billion yuan to build a 20GWh energy storage and power battery intelligent manufacturing plant and supporting facilities.

The signing of this project will make a huge contribution to regional development. From the perspective of the value of the industrial chain, as the "chain master" enterprise of the new energy power battery industry, Yiwei Lithium Energy has strong traction and influence, and can attract and drive the new energy power of its upstream and downstream industrial chains in a relatively short period of time.
