On September 29, 2022, after careful preparation, the construction of the section from Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu of the Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway was officially started. On the same day, the start-up mobilization meeting was held by video link in three places along the Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway, including Xiongan in Hebei, Liaocheng in Shandong, and Puyang in Henan.

The new party group of China National Railway Group thoroughly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, gave full play to the role of railway construction investment in stabilizing the economic market, took powerful and effective measures to speed up the preliminary work, and pushed forward the construction of new projects in a scientific and orderly manner. Promote the construction of 5 projects including the Xiongan New Area-Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Xiong Commercial High-speed Railway and the Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway. During the year, it will also promote the Xiongan New Area-Xinzhou High-speed Railway, Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway, Xining-Chengdu Railway, Jinghe-Ara 20 projects including the second line of the Yamaguchi Railway have been under construction one after another. The 25 newly started projects have accumulated a total mileage of 5,387 kilometers of new lines and a total investment of 1,198.1 billion yuan.

Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu Section

According to reports, the section from Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu of the Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway, which is under construction this time, has a design speed of 350 km/h, a main line of 552 km in length, and a construction period of 4 years. The line starts from Xiongan Station of the Beijing-Xiong Intercity Railway in the north, passes through Xiongan New District, Cangzhou City, Hengshui City, Xingtai City in Hebei Province, Liaocheng City in Shandong Province, Puyang City in Henan Province, Jining City, Heze City in Shandong Province to Shangqiu City in Henan Province , and finally to Shangqiu Station of the Shanghe-Hangzhou High-speed Railway.

The whole line includes Xiong'an, Renqiu West, Suning East, Shenzhou East, Hengshui South, Zaoqiang South, Qinghe West, Linqing East, Liaocheng West, Yanggu East, Taiqian East, Liangshan, Yuncheng, Heze East, There are 16 stations in Caoxian West and Shangqiu, of which 2 Xiongan and Heze East stations are existing stations, 3 Liangshan, Yuncheng and Shangqiu stations are renovated and expanded stations, and 11 stations including Hengshui South are newly built stations. About 94% of the bridges in the section from Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu on the Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway are bridges, of which the Yellow River Bridge in Taiqian County, Puyang City, Henan Province is a controlled project for the entire line.

The section from Xiongan New District to Shangqiu of the Beijing-Xiong-Shangxi High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong (Taiwan) channel of China's eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed rail network. The high-speed rail and the high-speed rail from Shangqiu to Hefei, the high-speed rail from Hefei to Anqing to Jiujiang, the high-speed rail from Nanchang to Shenzhen, and the high-speed rail from Shenzhen to Hong Kong, which have been completed and operated, have formed another major north-south high-speed rail channel in my country. At the same time, the section from Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu of the Beijing-Xiong-Shanghai High-speed Railway connects Shijiazhuang to Jinan high-speed railway, Rizhao to Lankao high-speed railway, which can realize interconnection with Beijing-Guangzhou and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railways. The status of the regional road network is very important.
