Fengqing is the main passage of the downhill route of the ancient Tea-Horse Road, and there is Lushi Ancient Town, a well-preserved post of the ancient Tea-horse Road. The Weishan to Fengqing highway is the first approved highway among the 31 supplementary projects of the 14th and 5th Highway in Yunnan Province. It is the highway with the most complex technical difficulty and the highest unit investment. It is a cross transportation hub connecting Tianbao Port and Houqiao Port, Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the Indian Ocean Rim.
