Vinci, headquartered in France, said that its subsidiary Cobra and Sener had jointly obtained engineering, procurement and construction contracts from the German LNG terminal to build Germany's first LNG regasification terminal. Cobra will hold 62% of the consortium, while the Spanish engineering group Sener will hold 38%.
The LNG terminal will be built in Brunsb ü ttel town at the mouth of the Elbe River in the North Sea in northern Germany. The company will have a natural gas production capacity of up to 8 billion cubic meters per year, which can be expanded to at least 10 billion cubic meters per year. The facility will have two 165000m3 tanks. The regasification terminal will also be equipped with two wharves, unloading arms, flare stack, regasification and gas emission system, evaporation gas recovery system, auxiliary system and a series of buildings designed for operation.
Sener said that the LNG terminal in Germany will provide a series of services, including LNG storage, transport ship loading and unloading, regasification and injection into the German natural gas pipeline network, as well as LNG distribution through oil tankers and railway tankers. With the construction of LNG regasification terminal, Germany will be able to import LNG by sea. Keywords: overseas news, engineering news
Sener said that this cooperation is worth a lot of investment, including the preliminary work of the first phase, which lasts about 9 to 15 months. Some construction work has been carried out in parallel in about 42 months. Under current conditions, it is expected that the project will be completed in 2026. However, all relevant parties are striving to further accelerate the project progress in accordance with all permits and national assistance requirements.Editor/Xing Wentao
