On October 12, 2022, CNNC Huineng Co., Ltd. signed an investment agreement on wind power and photovoltaic new energy power project with Chongqing Shizhu County People's Government. CNNC Huineng Co., Ltd. will invest 6 billion yuan to develop wind power and photovoltaic resources in Shizhu County.

It is understood that the project is tentatively located in towns such as Yueylai, Mawu, Shijia, Longtan, etc. The wind farm is planned to develop with a total capacity of 600,000 kW and a total investment of about 4.2 billion yuan. It is planned to develop photovoltaic power stations with a total capacity of 400,000 kW and a total investment of about 1.8 billion yuan.

When the full capacity is completed and connected to the grid by the end of 2025, it is expected that the annual power generation will be 1.32 billion KWH, the annual output value will be about 517 million yuan, and the annual tax revenue will be about 86 million yuan. According to the agreement, CNNC will register a wholly-owned project company with independent legal personality in Shizhu County, and introduce wind power production and manufacturing projects with a total investment of more than 330 million yuan and photovoltaic production and manufacturing projects with a total investment of more than 0.7 million yuan to settle in Shizhu.
