On the same day, Zoco inspected Dekalur Station, the terminal station of Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway in Bandung City, and said that all parties involved in the construction of Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway had made great efforts to overcome difficulties such as complex geology and epidemic situation, and promoted the construction of Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway with high quality as planned. The Yahwan high-speed railway project will speed up the mobility of personnel and goods, improve the overall competitiveness of Indonesia, and drive Jakarta and Bandung to develop new economic growth points. During the G20 Summit, Indonesia will show the achievements of the construction of the Yahwan high-speed railway to the outside world, further reflecting the good cooperation between the Indonesian and Chinese governments.

Ge Hongliang, a researcher at the ASEAN Research Center of Guangxi University for Nationalities, said that as the flagship project of China and Indonesia in the Belt and Road Initiative, the significance of the Yawan High speed Railway is not only at the level of the two countries, but also has a very obvious demonstration effect, which is conducive to high-quality promotion of the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative in Southeast Asia. Ge Hongliang said that from the current regional and international situation, the world is facing the problem of division, and Southeast Asian countries are also under such pressure. In this context, more high standard infrastructure construction represented by Ya'an Wanzhou High Speed Railway Project is also conducive to promoting the economic development of the region and enhancing its ability to participate in global strategic competition.

The Yahwan high-speed railway connects Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Bandung, the capital of West Java, with a total length of 142 kilometers and a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is a landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative and practical cooperation between China and Indonesia. At present, all 13 tunnels of the project have been completed, and track laying for the main line has started. After the completion and opening to traffic, the travel time between Jakarta and Bandung will be shortened from more than 3 hours to 40 minutes.Editor/Ma Xue
