Recently, the largest self-propelled cutter suction dredger in Asia, "Tiankun", completed all equipment commissioning and pre construction preparations, and officially put into the construction of the first phase of the 100000 ton channel south extension project in Ganyu Port Area of Lianyungang Port.

"Tiankun" is 140 meters long, 27.8 meters wide, with a total installed power of 25843 kilowatts, a design hourly dredging volume of 6000 cubic meters, and a maximum digging depth of 35 meters. A standard football field can be dug one meter deep in one hour. The power of the "Tiankun" cutter is 6600 kilowatts, which can excavate rocks with a compressive strength of 50 MPa on one side. The power of the mud pump is 17000 kilowatts, and the remote transmission capacity is 15000 meters, which is the highest in the world.

Lianyungang Ganyu Port Area 100000 ton Channel South Extension Phase I Project is to extend to the west on the basis of the main 100000 ton inbound and outbound channel of Ganyu Port Area. The channel is 3135m long and 190m wide. During the construction process, the "Tiankun" will overcome many difficulties such as the complex soil quality in the construction sea area, the difficulty in remote transportation of dredged soil, the large pipeline wear, and the tight construction period, and once again demonstrate its hard core function as a heavy tool of a large country, "with strong excavation capacity, long transportation distance, excellent environmental protection operations, and high level of intelligence".Editor/Ma Xue
