On October 24, 2022, GCLSI announced that it planned to invest in the construction of a 20GW TOPCon photovoltaic cell and supporting industry production base project in Wanlu District, Wuhu City, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan. The implementation of this project means that GCLSI is fully engaged in the vertical integration of N-type batteries and components.

The project is planned in a unified way and constructed by stages. From 2022 to 2024, it is planned to invest and construct the project in two phases of two years, with each phase of 10GW. The investment in the first phase is 3.5 billion yuan, and the investment in the second phase is 4.5 billion yuan. The project covers an area of about 1000 mu, and the first phase covers an area of about 500 mu. The People's Government of Wanxi District, Wuhu City should make the first phase of the project ready for construction before October 31, 2022, and reserve 500 mu of land for the second phase.

The company will give full play to the leading edge of N-type TOPCon battery technology, and at the same time, it can meet the capacity supporting needs of Hefei GCL Integrated Components Base.
