Social logistics costs as a share of GDP dropped to 13 percent. On November 14, 2022, the construction of Hefei Paihe Port Railway Logistics Base, which will serve the multi-modal railway, water transport and road transport in Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, officially began.

Hefei Paihe Port Railway Logistics Base is located on the north side of Paihe Port and adjacent to Paihe Port. It is a comprehensive public iron-water combined freight yard, connected from the west end of the inner station of Jinyuan Thermal Power Plant. The newly built line is about 3.5 kilometers long, and the new Paihe Station is set up.

The project includes railway freight yard and railway line construction, planning area of about 917 mu, including railway freight yard covers an area of about 672 mu. At the terminal, Paihe Station is equipped with one main line, two inbound lines, four cargo handling lines, and two inbound lines and two container handling lines. The goods are directly attracted to Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, which radiates to Hefei City and surrounding districts and counties.
