China Indonesia Comprehensive Industrial Park, located in Qingshan Industrial Park in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, is an overseas economic and trade cooperation zone for China and Indonesia to jointly develop mineral resources. Now it has developed into an important nickel iron and stainless steel industrial base in the world. The projects settled in the park are Chinese enterprises going global and overseas cooperation projects.

It is reported that the two parks in Qingshan decided at the beginning of 2021 to invest in the construction of solar and wind energy clean energy bases in the next three to five years. The electric energy produced by them will be mainly used to produce new energy ternary battery materials. After completion, the production of battery raw materials in the parks will all use clean renewable energy to truly achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions. In the future, the park will also launch hydropower projects to further improve the supply of clean energy.

At present, the two parks in Qingshan employ more than 100000 Indonesian workers. The rapid development of the parks has also driven the employment of commercial supporting facilities and the surrounding areas, becoming a powerful promoter of local economic and social development.

In the second quarter of 2022, the gross domestic product of North Maluku Province, where Qingshan Weidabe Park is located, increased by 27.4% year on year, ranking first among all Indonesian provinces. Indonesian media believe that mining and manufacturing represented by Weidabe Park is one of the main reasons for the substantial economic growth of the province.

Weidabe Park also actively promotes the localization of talents, and cultivates Indonesian employees through "mentoring", "mentoring" and other forms. So far, the park has cultivated 13,000 local technicians.Editor/Ma Xue
