Recently, more than 30 port and shipping logistics enterprises from Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces gathered at Xintian Port Area in Wanzhou to sign strategic cooperation agreements on multimodal transport in Xintian Port Area, establishing a "circle of friends" for port and shipping logistics enterprises along the Yangtze River to benefit and win.

"To build Wanzhou Xintian Port area into a multimodal transport hub port has been included in the pilot construction of transportation power and the major project of constructing Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng economic Circle." Relevant officials of Chongqing Transportation Bureau said that this is also an important measure for Chongqing to promote the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing twin city economic circle and the coordinated development of "one district and two groups" with high standards and high quality.

Located in the hinterland of the Three Gorges, Xintian Port Area of Wanzhou is the gateway to the sea in the east of Sichuan for constructing the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, which can effectively radiate the central and western regions of eastern Sichuan, western Guizhou, western Hunan and southern Shaanxi. Xintian Port area has obvious traffic location advantages. The rear of the port area is directly connected to five expressways, namely Wanzhou Ring, Wanzhong, Wanli, Hurong and Wankai. The collection and distribution center project of Xintian Port area, which is under construction, is expected to be completed within this year, when it will be connected to Dawan Railway and Yiwan Railway.

According to the cooperation agreement, all parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in information exchange, business assistance and management mutual promotion with Xintian Port Area as the core and relying on the Yangtze River Golden Waterway.
