On November 18, 2022, the Department of Transport of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region released the bid winning results of the G680 Takshiken Chakurtu Highway Project. The project is divided into six sections with a bid price of about 4.2 billion yuan.

Project scale

G680 Taxhken Chakurtu Highway is located in Qinghe County and Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a total length of about 159.120 km. The highway is a Class I highway, with a design speed of 100 (80) km/h, asphalt concrete pavement, bridges and subgrade of equal width, and a design load grade of highway - Class I. It is divided into two sections, namely, G680 Taxhken Chakurtu Section, which starts at the south bank of Burgen River near Taxhken Port, The terminal point is about 5km north of S11 Chakurtu Interchange. The project is connected with S11 by means of three branch T-type interchange, with a total length of about 122.102km. G680~Qinghe Section starts from G680 Qinghe Interchange and ends at the intersection of Youhao South Road and Guihua South 7th Road in Qinghe County, with a total length of 37.019km.

Section 1: K6+826.415 ~ K39+780, with a total length of 32.953km. The contract section is provided with 1 medium bridge, 1 small bridge, 1 passage bridge, 1 separated interchange, 95 culverts and 7 passage culverts. One interchange, one maintenance area, one parking area, one main line toll station, one ramp toll station and one grade crossing are set.

Section 2: K39+780 ~ K66+900, with a total length of 27.158km. The contract section is provided with 1 large bridge, 1 medium bridge, 1 small bridge, 4 passage bridges, 58 culverts and 15 passage culverts. One parking area is set.

Section 3: K66+900 ~ K91+000, with a total length of 23.628km. The contract section is provided with 1 medium bridge, 1 small bridge, 4 passage bridges, 30 culverts and 7 passage culverts. One interchange, one service area and one U-turn are set.

Section 4: K91+000 ~ K129+225.391, with a total length of 38.363km. The contract section is provided with 1 large bridge, 2 small bridges, 3 passage bridges, 1 separated interchange, 42 culverts and 12 passage culverts. There are 2 interchanges, 1 parking area, 1 maintenance area and 1 ramp toll station.

Section 5: MK0+800 ~ MK19+500, with a total length of 18.949km. The contract section is provided with 2 major bridges, 3 medium bridges, 3 passage bridges, 47 culverts and 7 passage culverts. One interchange and one ramp toll station are set.

Section 6: MK19+500 ~ MK37+541.486, with a total length of 18.070km. The contract section is provided with 3 major bridges, 3 medium bridges, 6 passage bridges, 56 culverts and 4 passage culverts.
