On November 18, 2022, Wenzhou City held the opening and completion ceremony of major transportation projects such as the Cangtai Expressway. A number of projects such as the Cangtai Expressway were started, adding new support for the future of Wenzhou transportation; Jingwen Expressway and a number of projects completed, Wenzhou traffic now add a large channel. It is reported that the total investment of the transportation project is more than 90 billion yuan.

Cangnan to Taishun Expressway

It participated in the Cangnan to Taishun expressway project, which is the largest single investment expressway project in the history of Wenzhou. The starting point of the project is located in Yanpu Town, Cangnan County. The main line passes through 15 towns along the line, and the end point is located in the southeast of Luoyang Town, Taishun County, where Taishun Junction is set to connect with Wentai Expressway. The total length of the project is about 99.2 kilometers, with a total of 3 hubs and 20.3 kilometers of simultaneous construction of 5 connectivity lines. The main line adopts the standard of two-way four-lane expressway, the design speed is 100 km/h, and the investment is estimated to be 27.31 billion yuan.

In view of the many links and processes in the preliminary work of the expressway project, the municipal transportation department, the Municipal Communications and Development Group and other units adhere to wall chart operations and innovative methods. By sorting out the cross-promotion work of key nodes, they do their best to speed up the preliminary progress and ensure the early quality. The project only takes 30 months from zero to the approval of the construction drawing, and the speed is fast. Cangtai Expressway is an important one in the multi-link layout of nine vertical, nine horizontal, five ring and five passageways in Zhejiang Province. It is also an important part of Wenzhou's construction of a ring, a loop, nine jets and five links expressway network.

Wenzhou Section of Jingwen Expressway project

The Wenzhou section of the Jingwen Expressway, with a total investment of about 7.13 billion yuan, is one of the completed projects. The project is located in Wencheng County, with a total length of 34.5km. At present, the main part of the project has been completed and is scheduled to open to traffic next month. As one of the most complex expressways in Zhejiang province, it is also an important part of the national highway network G4012 and one of the ten landmark projects in the construction of major passageways in Zhejiang Province. After its completion and opening to traffic, it can effectively ease the travel difficulties in Jingning, Wencheng and other mountainous areas in southwest Zhejiang Province and drive the local economic and social development.

From expressways to national roads and provincial roads, from water transport terminals to rural roads... With the construction, promotion, completion and operation of batches of traffic projects, the construction of the traffic map of Wenzhou is accelerated, which supports the transformation and development of the city and the upgrading of the energy level. Statistics show that from January to October 2022, Wenzhou's comprehensive transportation investment has completed 42.44 billion yuan, ranking the second place in Zhejiang Province, with a year-on-year growth of 24.1% and the third fastest growth rate in Zhejiang Province; Of this total, 25.17 billion yuan was invested in roads, waterways and airports, completing the tasks assigned by the provincial government two months ahead of schedule.
