The propane propylene separation tower hoisted this time is the core equipment of Zhongjing Petrochemical's 1 million ton/year propane dehydrogenation project, and it is also the highest and largest propane propylene separation tower in the world, with a height of 138 meters, a weight of 2700 tons, and a volume of 11000 cubic meters. Combined with the actual situation on site, SPCECC is installed by means of on-site assembly and sectional hoisting.

On November 20, the head of propane propylene separation tower was ready for hoisting, and the "last hoisting" of the tower was welcomed. As the hoisting height reached 138 meters, the high altitude strong wind hindered the hoisting, assembly, welding and other work, which became the biggest difficulty of the hoisting operation. In order to ensure the successful completion of hoisting, the project hoisting team adopted the methods of adjusting the length of hoisting wire rope to ensure the levelness of the head, chain block to fix the attached tower pipeline, and installation of temporary platform to ensure the smooth hoisting of the head. At 7:00 a.m., with the help of 3200 ton crawler crane, the separation tower head was lifted steadily under the leadership of the hoisting commander in chief; At 8:20, the head and body of the separation tower completed a beautiful "combination" at a height of 100 meters, marking the successful completion of the lifting of the propane propylene separation tower with the highest height and largest volume in the world, and again demonstrating SPCECC's "hard power" with practical actions.

It is reported that Zhongjing Petrochemical's propane dehydrogenation project with an annual output of 1 million tons has a total investment of 4 billion yuan and an annual output value of 10 billion yuan, which can drive the output value of upstream and downstream industrial chains of 20 billion yuan. The project introduces the most advanced propane dehydrogenation to propylene production process technology of Loomis, which represents the world today, to produce high-purity propylene raw materials to meet the needs of downstream copolymerized polypropylene in the park. In the process of technology introduction, engineering design, construction and installation, the project overcame many difficulties and realized the first localization of 50 MW positive pressure explosion-proof motor and 169 MW air heater.
