From November 18 to 21, 2022, Xinhua Power organized the review meeting of the pre-feasibility study report of Dengfeng Daxiong Mountain Pumped storage Power Station in Luoyang, Dengfeng and Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and basically agreed to the content of the report.
The pre-feasibility study report of Daxiong Mountain pumped storage power Station in Dengfeng, Henan Province successfully passed the evaluation, which is of great significance in the process of project development and construction. Dengfeng Daxiong Mountain Pumping Water Storage Power Station is a reserve project issued by the National Energy Administration "National Medium and Long Term Pumped Storage Development Plan (2021-2035)". It has been listed in the "14th Five-Year Plan" major project list of Henan Province, with the initially planned installed capacity of 1.2 million kW. After the completion of the project, it will mainly undertake the tasks of peak regulation, valley filling, frequency modulation, phase modulation and emergency backup of Zhengzhou power grid. It will effectively relieve the peak regulation pressure of Henan power grid, improve the absorption capacity of new energy and the reliability of power supply of the grid, lay a solid foundation for the realization of the "double carbon" goal, and play an important role in the development of local tourism and rural revitalization.
