On November 25, 2022, it was learned from the national public resource trading platform that the bid winner of the tender for the construction of the first section of the newly-built Nantong Ningbo High Speed Railway and related projects had been announced. The project was divided into four bid sections, which were won by four central construction enterprises, including China Railway 14th Bureau and China Railway Tunnel Bureau. The bid price was about 25.8 billion yuan.

Project overview

The newly-built Nantong Ningbo High speed Railway starts from Yancheng Nantong West High speed Railway Station, passes through Zhangjiagang City, Changshu City, Suzhou City, Jiaxing City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, and ends at Ningbo Terminal Ningbo Station. The total length of the line is about 309.8 km, including 300.7 km of new lines, 9.1 km of existing lines and 10 stations. One new double track railway bridge across Hangzhou Bay. The Shanghai Kunming Railway Yard interconnection line of Jiaxing South Railway Station, the upstream interconnection line between this line and Xiaoyong Railway, Suzhou North EMU depot and parking lot will be constructed simultaneously, Ningbo EMU depot will be expanded, and the construction land for Jiaxing South EMU depot will be reserved.

TYZQ-1 bid section:The scope covers the front of main line DK53+017 ~ DK66+121 stations and related works, and the main line is 13.104 km long. Including 13.026 km of Suzhou East Tunnel and 0.078 km of subgrade. One shield tunnel segment yard is set, and tunnel segments are prefabricated within the scope of TYZQ-1 and 2 bid sections. Ballastless track, turnout track bed construction, and track fine adjustment.

Sangtian Island Station of the inter city railway commissioned by the local government is to be constructed synchronously. The mileage range is DK65+529.00 to DK66+121.000, and the main line is 0.592km long. It mainly includes the station enclosure structure, main structure and corresponding underground station building foundation works from the first floor to the fourth floor underground. The reserved project for comprehensive development of the first and second underground floors, with a building area of 49874 square meters, was commissioned by Suzhou Hengtai Holding Group Co., Ltd; The third and fourth floors of the underground station hall and platform floor, with a building area of 42,906 square meters, were commissioned by Suzhou Intercity Railway Co., Ltd.

TYZQ-2 section: it covers the main line DK66+121 ~ DK98+432 station front and related works, with the main line length of 32.311 km. Including 2.539 km of Suzhou East Tunnel, 3.732 km of Fenhu Tunnel and 0.166 km of subgrade works; Wuzhong Wujiang Bridge Section, Suzhou South Viaduct Station and Fenhu South Bridge Section (4.034km) are 25.874km in total; 0.166km subgrade; One box girder prefabrication yard, which is responsible for the fabrication, transportation and erection of 654 double track simply supported box girders within the scope of the bid section; Ballastless track, turnout track bed construction, track fine adjustment; The prefabrication of tunnel segments within the bid section is not included.

The first candidate for winning the bid: China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group Co., Ltd., with a bid evaluation price of 5.1 billion yuan.

TYZQ-3 section: it covers the main line DK174+794 ~ DK184+638 station front and related works, with the main line length of 9.844 km. Including 9.844km Hangzhou Bay Sea Crossing Bridge, one 80/60m box girder prefabrication yard is set, which is responsible for the prefabrication of 230 holes 80/60m box girders of the whole bridge, the transportation and erection of 92 holes 80/60m box girders in this section, and the 370m trestle on the north bank; Ballastless track bed construction, track fine adjustment.

The first candidate for winning the bid: China Railway Bridge Bureau Group Co., Ltd., with a bid evaluation price of 7.39 billion yuan.

TYZQ-4 bid section: it covers the main line DK184+638 ~ DK217+410 station front and related works, with the main line length of 32.772km. Including 19.315 km of Hangzhou Bay Sea Crossing Bridge, 13.457 km of Cixi Grand Bridge Section A, which is responsible for the transportation and erection of 138 hole 80/60 m box girders in this section, 7.8 km of trestle in the south bank shoal area, and ancillary bridge decks within the scope of this section; Ballastless track bed construction and track fine adjustment; The prefabrication, transportation and erection of 110 span 40m simply supported box girder of approach bridge in shoal area are excluded, and the prefabrication, transportation and erection of 293 span double track simply supported box girder of section A of Cixi Grand Bridge are excluded.
