In the morning of November 28, 2022, Baoxin Energy announced that the company's Guangdong Lufeng Jiahuwan Power Plant No. 3 and No. 4 Unit expansion project No. 3 boiler foundation first party concrete was poured smoothly, the project officially started construction, entered the civil construction stage.

Data show that the project was approved by Guangdong Development and Reform Commission on September 9, 2022, and is a key new construction project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" of energy development in Guangdong Province. With a total investment of 7.8 billion yuan, two 1000MW ultra-supercritical efficient clean coal-fired generating units will be built. The project adopts efficient ultra-supercritical power generation technology and ultra-low emission technology, and the coal consumption standard reaches the international advanced level. It belongs to the efficient and clean energy, and has the ability of basic guarantee and flexible adjustment, which can improve the adjustment capacity of the power system.

The two units are expected to start production in 2024 and 2025, respectively. As a key construction project of Guangdong Province and Shanwei City, the unit can effectively meet the needs of the rapid development of power demand in Guangdong and promote the economic development of eastern Guangdong and Shanwei region after it is completed and put into operation.
