Recently, China Energy Engineering Guangxi Institute, as the leading unit, formed a consortium with Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Water Conservancy and Electric Power Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. to sign a survey and design contract for the pre feasibility study, feasibility study, bidding design and construction drawing design stages of Guangzhou Hezhou Pumped Storage Power Station with Guangxi Guidong Electric Power Co., Ltd.

Hezhou Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Babu District, Hezhou City, with an installed capacity of 1200 MW. It is a Class I large (1) project. The main buildings include upper and lower reservoir water retaining structures and flood releasing structures, water conveyance and power generation system buildings, underground powerhouse cavern group system, ground switch station, etc. After the completion of the project, it will ensure the safe and stable economic operation of the power system in Guidong, promote the large-scale and high proportion development and utilization of new energy in Guidong, and make contributions to the construction of a new power system with new energy as the main body in Guangxi.

The successful signing of the project is another good achievement of China Energy Engineering Guangxi Institute after signing the full stage survey and design contracts for several pumped storage power stations inside and outside Guangxi.
