Recently, the annual crude oil output of Tarim Oilfield in Xinjiang has reached 6.6 million tons, exceeding that of 2021 a month ahead of schedule, creating a new historical high!

Zhang Chongyuan, senior engineer of Tarim Oilfield Oil and Gas Engineering Research Institute of CNPC, introduced that the average depth of 8000 meters deep wells we drilled in South Tianshan in recent years, such as Well Keshen 21 and Well Bozi 8, exceeded 8200 meters and 8000 meters respectively. The drilling cycle of deep wells has been shortened from more than 600 days to 360 days. Many indicators such as drilling, logging and cementing have created new records.

It is understood that Tarim Oilfield is the largest ultra deep oil and gas field in China and the main gas source of West East Gas Transmission. At present, the daily output of crude oil is 20000 tons, and the daily output of natural gas is 92 million cubic meters. It is estimated that the annual oil and gas output will exceed 33 million tons.Edit/Ma Xue
