On November 29, 2022, POWERCHINA New Energy Co., Ltd. announced the bid winning results of the EPC general contracting of the 600000 kilowatt hour photovoltaic+600000 kilowatt hour energy storage project in Fukang, Xinjiang. The bid winner of the project is the consortium of Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd. and Powerchina Central South Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. The bid price is 1.006 billion yuan, and the unit price is 1.678 yuan/Wh.

The scale of the project is 600000 kilowatts photovoltaic+600000 kilowatt hours of energy storage. The project is configured with an energy storage system with a capacity of 150MW/600MWh based on 25% of the photovoltaic installed capacity and 4h. A 220kV booster station and a 35kV energy storage station will be built in the site, and 60 2.5MW PCS prefabricated cabins and 120 5MWh battery prefabricated cabins will be arranged in the energy storage station. The bidding scope includes photovoltaic field, booster station, energy storage station, switch station, etc.

The project is located in Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The total area of the project is about 20201 mu. The central geographic coordinate of the site is 44.2429 ° N and 88.2876 ° E, and the straight-line distance from the urban area of Fukang City is about 27km.
