On November 29, 2022, the construction of Foshan First Ring Xituo Flyover Bridge in the Pearl River Delta Terminal Airport Section of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway was officially started, marking the official opening of the construction of the Pearl River Delta Terminal Airport Section of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway.

The Pearl River Delta Hub Airport Section of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway is located in Guangdong Province, with a total length of 78.78 kilometers. The line leads from the end of the Xijiang River Bridge, passes through Gaoming District of Foshan City, Gaoyao District of Zhaoqing City, and Xinxing County of Yunfu City, and ends at Xinxing South Station. There are two stations, namely, the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport and Xinxing South Station, with 72 bridges, totaling 42.418 km; There are 20 tunnels with a total length of 23.932km, and the construction period is 3 years, which are completed and opened simultaneously with the whole line. After the completion of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway, the commute time from Guangzhou to Zhanjiang will be shortened to 90 minutes, which plays an important role in promoting the economic and social development of the regions along the line and the coordinated development of the whole province.

Foshan First Ring Xituo Interchange Grand Bridge is located in the Pearl River Delta Terminal Airport Section of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway. It is a key control project of Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway. The total length of the bridge is 3871.46 meters. There are seven special span structures designed, which respectively cross over Foshan Hefu Road, Wangwang Road, Hengchang Road, Lighting Avenue, Haitian Avenue, Qingyuan Gaoming Expressway and other important local traffic lines.
