Recently, the 280000t/a 1,4-butanediol (BDO) project of Dongjing Bio Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dongyuan Science and Technology in Inner Mongolia contracted by SPCECC, was successfully put into operation at one time, and the product purity reached 99.91%, marking that the BDO project capacity of Dongyuan Science and Technology reached 380000t/a, becoming the largest BDO integrated production base in the world.
The 280000 t/a BDO project of Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio was commenced on May 20, 2021, and successfully handed over on August 1, 2022. On November 4, 2022, the project was successfully started and excellent BDO products were produced. With the concerted efforts of all the construction participants, the project set new records in terms of the shortest construction period, the shortest feeding time, and the shortest time to reach the superior products of similar projects.

In November 2021, the installation of the project will begin. In the face of huge pressure from human resource allocation, steel procurement and epidemic prevention and control, to ensure that the project progress and epidemic prevention and control work are correct, the Project Department takes "point to point" measures, and uses special vehicles to mobilize construction personnel from other provinces to enter the site, so as to ensure the orderly development of the construction plan; At the same time, under the environmental conditions where the local winter temperature is more than ten degrees below zero, the construction personnel were organized to start the winter construction battle, and 8800 tons of steel structures were fabricated and installed, 115000 meters of pipe racks were installed in just over two months, and the annual node target was completed on schedule. At the beginning of 2022, in view of the heavy task of carrying forward the project, the project participants insisted on not closing the Spring Festival, gave up the opportunity to reunite with their families, and continued to promote the set goals.
The fabrication and installation of process pipes and equipment installation are important links of construction. In order to ensure that the pipeline can meet the target on schedule, the Project Department started prefabrication at the beginning of March, and completed the welding equivalent of 1.012 million inches in more than five months by adding welders, putting in automatic welding equipment, shifting shifts and other measures, and the one-time qualification rate of welding reached 96.5%. The centralized equipment mobilization conditions are mature in May. In order to reduce the equipment occupation and ensure that the equipment is installed in place at the first time, the project management personnel shall implement the equipment arrival time and hoisting measures in advance, and directly unload and install the equipment on the pallet truck, which ensures the timely and safe installation of 2001 sets of equipment, reduces the equipment unloading and transportation costs, and saves a lot of costs. During the construction of electrical instruments, the Project Department took the construction of external lines and cable bridges as a priority, and actively cooperated with the electrical instrument company to organize resources to create conditions for the construction of cables and bridges, to ensure that the construction of this discipline was carried out according to the established plan, and completed the tasks of laying 1.936 million meters of electrical and instrument cables, 720.53 million meters of cable bridges, and installing 10478 sets of electrical and instrument equipment on schedule. In the final pressure test stage of pipe orifice, the Project Department established a pressure test leading group, transferred personnel to form 15 pressure test groups, put 16 pressure test equipment into operation, organized a special pressure test meeting every day to coordinate and promote the pressure test progress, and completed 2539 pressure test packages in just over 3 months, laying a solid foundation for the smooth operation of the project.
Using advanced scientific and technological tools and equipment to promote the progress of node targets is a highlight of this construction. For example, the steel structure construction uses all the bent arm vehicles, and 16 sets are put into use during the peak period, which reduces the time and cost of scaffold erection; The process pipeline welding uses the "four-dimensional pipeline design software", and the PCF or IDF format files of the design institute are used for import and conversion. The automatic recognition of the PDF version of the pipeline single line diagram is realized, and the EXCEL version of the material list is rapidly generated. The manual marking of the single line diagram welded junction and the manual establishment of the welding database are transformed into software recognition, which saves a lot of manpower and creates a convenient condition for the pipeline prefabrication in a short time.
It is reported that the 280000 t/a BDO project of Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio is located in Wuhai City, with a total investment of 2.94 billion yuan. Its key equipment has been successfully localized, solving the problem that BDO production key equipment is "stuck" by foreign brands.
