According to the latest statistics of the Western Pipeline Company of the State Pipeline Network Group, the Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline, China's first transnational gas transmission pipeline, will deliver more than 40 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China in 2022, with a daily gas transmission capacity of about 120 million cubic meters, providing a strong guarantee for domestic natural gas supply.
The Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline starts from the border between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the west, crosses the central part of Uzbekistan and the southern part of Kazakhstan, and enters China through the port of Khorgos in Xinjiang, China. At present, the three lines of ABC are in parallel. After entering China, the pipeline is connected with the second and third lines of West East Gas Transmission Pipeline through Khorgos Initial Compressor Station, with a total length of 1833km and a total design gas transmission capacity of 60 billion cubic meters per year.
Since the Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline was put into operation in December 2009, it has achieved a total of 4730 days of safe and stable operation, and the maximum daily throughput has exceeded 163 million cubic meters. The main gas sources of Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline are Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In 2017, Kazakhstan's gas source was developed. Khorgos Initial Compressor Station of the Western Pipeline is the first station for Central Asian natural gas to enter China. Natural gas from Central Asia flows eastward from Khorgos, effectively guaranteeing the gas consumption of more than 500 million residents in 27 provinces, autonomous regions and cities along the downstream pipeline and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.Edit/Ma Xue
