Recently, the commencement ceremony of Guoxin Shazhou 2×1 million kW clean and efficient supporting power supply project was held in the Metallurgical Park of Jinfeng Town, Zhangjiagang.

Coal-fired unit project

According to the introduction, the project belongs to the national planning energy project, located in Jinfeng Town of Zhangjiagang, with a land area of about 32.7 hectares and a total investment of about 8 billion yuan. The project plans to build two 1000MW ultra-supercritical secondary reheating coal-fired units, whose design indicators such as power generation coal consumption and flue gas emission have reached the industry-leading level.

After the completion of the project, the annual power generation will be 10 billion KWH, and the project also has the depth peak adjustment capacity of 20%THA, which can effectively improve the acceptance capacity of Jiangsu power grid to new energy and provide a solid foundation for the sustainable development of new energy.

Li Kanzhen, director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, pointed out that the Guoxin Shazhou Project is a key project in the planning scheme of Jiangsu Province's construction of efficient supporting power supply, which is conducive to easing the power supply shortage situation in Jiangsu at the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Guosen Group should go all out to promote the early completion of the project, early results, and make more contributions to the energy development of Jiangsu Province.

The Party secretary of Zhangjiagang said that the Guoxin Shazhou project is a key energy project in national planning and a strong guarantee for Zhangjiagang to promote high-quality development. It is hoped that Guoxin Shazhou Project will accelerate the work progress and speed up the construction pace, and strive to become an intelligent and modern "green, low-carbon and efficient coal-burning demonstration base", which will provide surging power for Zhangjiagang to accelerate the socialist modernization construction.
