Recently, Universal Energy has won a series of wind power projects in Kazakhstan's new energy market, with a total scale of 250MW, relying on the cost advantage of KWH and good reputation in the international market. Among the four medium-bid wind power projects, Universal Energy's lowest winning bid was 12.39 tenge, or about 2.6 cents /kwh, which was the lowest winning bid of similar projects in Kazakh in the past five years.

According to reports, the Kazakh wind power project tender released a total of 7 project bidding sections for online auction, a total of 400MW. Nearly 10 companies bid for each project. In addition to local Kazakh companies, there are also reported to be companies from China, Russia, Europe and other places in the competition. In the end, Universal Energy won the bid for 4 wind power projects, with a total installed capacity of 250MW.

It is worth noting that nearly 60% of the Kazakh tenders were awarded to Universal Energy. Moreover, the lowest tender price of Universal Energy reached 12.39 tenge (about 2.6 cents /kwh), which is the lowest tender price of new energy since the introduction of Kazakh new energy bidding policy nearly five years ago.

So far, Universal Energy has invested 10 new energy projects in Kazakhstan, with a total scale of 630MW. Among them, six new energy projects with a total of 380MW have all been connected to the grid. The annual power generation can meet the electricity needs of about 600,000 local households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tons per year.

As a Chinese private enterprise that has been deeply engaged in new energy business in Kazakhstan for 7 years, Universal Energy has formed significant competitive advantages in team, financing, KWH cost, risk control and other aspects through continuous innovation. Universal Energy has been awarded a number of projects with highly competitive tariff proposals, which will not only help Kazakhstan further reduce the cost of new energy in the country, but also effectively drive local tax revenue, employment and environmental improvement, contributing to the global low-carbon transition.

While deepening the development of Kazakhstan, Universal Energy will continue to expand its business around the countries along the Belt and Road. In the future, it will gradually develop new energy projects in Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Serbia and other places, and consolidate the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road with its outstanding achievements.
