On December 5, 2022, a major road project will expand the Philippines' network and help reduce long-term traffic congestion at key points across the country. One of the main projects will be the Subway Cebu Expressway, and the bidding will be opened in 2023. The north-south bypass will connect Naga City and Danao City, with an estimated cost of 1.64 billion US dollars, and will be processed in PPP format. The project will be managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Roads of the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport will also provide NCR EDSA bus lane project in PPP mode. The timetable for the bidding process has not yet been published.

In addition, the NLEx connecting road between Northern Luzon Expressway and Manila is in progress. The new 8-km route is expected to be put into use in the second quarter of 2023.Editor/Xing Wentao
