On December 2, 2022, China Anneng Third Engineering Group Co., Ltd. signed a construction contract for Tongcheng Pumped Storage Power Station Reservoir Project with State Grid Xinyuan Anhui Tongcheng Pumped Storage Co., Ltd. Under the guidance of the Group's strategy, the signing is a concrete manifestation of the breakthrough achieved by the Engineering Bureau through doing a good job in the early stages of the bid section and combining the upper and lower levels of on-site high-quality performance, marking the formal march of China Anneng Third Engineering Bureau into the main project of pumped storage power plants.

It is understood that Tongcheng Pumped Storage Power Station Project is a key energy construction project in the 14th Five Year Plan. The total construction period is 90 months, the total installed capacity is 1.28 million kilowatts, and the estimated total investment is 7.26 billion yuan. The power station is composed of upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water conveyance system, underground powerhouse and ground switch station, which is a first-class large (I) project. After the completion of the project, the power supply structure of Anhui power grid will be greatly optimized, the contradiction of peak shaving of the provincial power grid will be effectively alleviated, and the rapid response ability of the power grid will be enhanced. After the project is put into operation, it will effectively reduce the coal consumption of the power grid, improve the utilization rate of new energy, serve and drive the local economic and social development, and further contribute to the realization of the national "double carbon" goal.

According to the contract content, China Anneng Third Engineering Group Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for the civil construction of the upper reservoir and the upper reservoir of the main project of the power station, as well as the excavation and support works of the ground switch station, some on-site road works, construction and decoration works of production and living buildings, water and soil conservation and environmental protection works.
