Kuwait plans to further develop its transport infrastructure in a large-scale engineering programme. The Public Administration for Roads and Land Transport set a budget of $16.3 billion for the 15 year plan.

The source pointed out that the Kuwait Road Transport Bureau is currently reviewing and formulating new schedules for these projects according to priority. Among them, the railway project is currently in the design stage, and the complete railway design scheme has been submitted to the Central Bidding Committee. In addition, the East Lakka Road and surrounding roads project is expected to be implemented in 2023, which will begin in 2023. Key projects include the construction of the Fourth Ring Road, Fahashir Road, the Third Ring Road and Lakka East Road. At present, all these projects are under review and study.

The new railway infrastructure will also be included in Kuwait's engineering programme. Kuwait will strengthen education, culture, health and social undertakings, strengthen infrastructure construction, and meet the needs of the people by building schools and hospitals.Editor/Xing Wentao
