On December 15, 2022, a new China-Europe freight train line was added to Erenhot Port, the largest land port between China and Mongolia, according to the Erenhot Customs. So far, the number of China-Europe freight train lines at Erenhot port reaches 63.

The newly added train departed from Erenhot Port, passing through Mongolia, Russia, Belarus, Poland and other countries, covering a total distance of 9,854 kilometers. The train carried a total of 100 TEU cargo, including heaters, clothing and loaders, weighing 587.16 tons and valued at 28.623,200 yuan. It is expected to arrive in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, in 18 days.

Erenhot Port, located in the north of China, is an important node city in the Belt and Road construction and the "China-Mongolian-Russia Economic Corridor". It is the only entry and exit port on the middle route of China-Europe freight train, and also an important channel for the export of Chinese domestic goods to Mongolia and other countries.

Nie Weidong, chief of the second Section of Railway Supervision of the Customs Office of Erlian Customs, believes that the new railway line expands the "circle of friends" of the China-Europe railway, which is of great significance to boost the regional economy. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
