On December 16, 2022, the signing ceremony of the development cooperation agreement of Cuolonggongma Pumped Storage Power Station Project in Maqu County, Gannan Prefecture was held in cooperation. It is reported that the total investment of Cuolonggongma Pumped Storage Power Station Project in Maqu County, Gannan Prefecture is 20 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts. It is the largest pumped storage power station with the largest installed capacity of a single unit in China, and also the largest single investment project since the founding of Gannan Prefecture. After the completion of the power station, it will calm the fluctuation of domestic new energy output of Gansu Power Grid, improve the development and consumption capacity of photovoltaic and other new energy, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the transmission system, It is of great significance to improve the economy of long-distance power transmission, which will greatly boost the green transformation and structural improvement of Gannan's industry and effectively drive the high-quality development of regional economy.
