On December 15, 2022, Shenghong's new energy storage battery and system integration project was signed in Taizhou, marking the addition of 10 billion new members of Taizhou's photovoltaic and lithium battery industry cluster, which will provide strong impetus for promoting the development of Taizhou's strategic emerging industry integration cluster and accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading.

Shenghong Group will set up a new chemical material industrial park in Taizhou Pharmaceutical High tech Zone to build a 25GWh scale new energy storage battery and system integration project, with a total planned investment of 12 billion yuan. After being put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of about 25 billion yuan, and an annual profit and tax of about 2.5 billion yuan. Among them, the Phase I project will invest about 3 billion yuan to build a 5GWh high-performance energy storage lithium-ion battery and system production line. It is planned to be put into production by the end of July next year, and to achieve mass production by the end of December 2023. After the first phase of the project is put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan and an annual profit and tax of 500 million yuan. Relying on the full industrial chain advantages of Shenghong Group's new energy and new materials and international leading technology, the project is expected to become the first base to achieve mass production after Shenghong Group entered the energy storage field, and will also become a strategic growth point for the integrated development of Shenghong's new energy and new materials industry.

This project has once again refreshed the pace of project implementation in Taizhou. In late October, the chemical new material industrial park learned that Shenghong Group was ready to enter the "trillion level energy storage new track", and immediately attacked, contacted the core team of the project, and successfully invited the relevant responsible person of the group to lead the team to the park for investigation. Subsequently, after many contacts and rounds of business negotiations, the two sides finally finalized the cooperation content and agreement, which took less than two months from the contact to the signing.
