From December 16 to 18, 2022, the pre-feasibility study report review meeting for the Shangsi County Pumped Storage Power Station Project in Fangchenggang, Guangxi Province was held and passed the review.

Tongde Pumped Storage Project

It is understood that the pumped storage power station project in Shangsi County, Fangchenggang, invested and developed by China Southern Network Energy Storage Company, is a key implementation project in the 14th Five-Year Plan of the national pumped storage medium and long-term development plan. The total installed capacity of the power station is 1400MW, and four 350MW reversible pump-turbine units are installed, with a total investment of about 9.2 billion yuan. Among the 10 million-kilowatt pumped storage bases in Guangxi that China Southern Power Grid Corporation is speeding up to build, it is the power station with the largest designed total installed capacity, the largest single-unit installed capacity, and the highest investment amount.
